I love romances set in small town inns and this one is just wonderful. It's almost a second chance romance as Jared and Xander face a terrible truth and then get their chance at that HEA. Tugs at your heartstrings in all the best ways. Michael Ferraiuolo is so good with these kinds of stories. He never comes close to going over the top, but you can hear the characters hearts breaking and then being put back together in his voice.

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story is well written with interesting characters and storylines. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it for the entire book. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Jared Langford is happy with his life, though he misses having a special someone in his life and even though he never talks about he harbors secrets from his past. He enjoys his job at the Deerbourne Inn and loves small town living and his tight knit circle of friends. He also loves theatre and performing as well as taking photographs. So when journalist/photographer Xander Fortier checks in to the Inn he knows exactly who he is. Xander came to Willow Springs to catch up on rest, he is also working on a very personal project. Jared senses something in Xander and he is drawn to him, Xander is not very friendly at first but Jared does not give up on him. Xander has his own secrets and he is coming to grips with news that is hard to handle. Moving around so much for his job he does not have many close friends or confidents but he feels a connection with Jared, if only he would let him him. I thought these two were great together and perfect for each other. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with drama, a touch of angst, lots of heartfelt emotions and a sweet romance. Gabbi Grey, thank you for the wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Michael Ferraiuolo is a talented narrator and voice artist. He gives each character their own unique voice making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. He does an awesome job portraying the characters, taking each role and making it his own and is convincing and believable in each role he plays. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all of the characters emotions and projects them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Jared and Xander might live different kinds of lives and they’re pretty different on the surface, but deep down they’ve more in common that might be evident at first glance. Chance - or fate - brings them together and they immediately feel attraction and their feelings quickly deepen. They both have issues, but through meeting each other and supporting each other they can move forward.

This is a charming love story with some angst but it’s mainly about finiding ”the one” and how that can change life to the better. Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration is wonderful as always. Recommended!

This is a super sweet emotional romance. I fell in love with with both Jerad and Xanda. I love how Michael Ferriauolo brought these characters to life! Definitely a highly recommend listen.

I loved this fun, sweet, low-angst listen! Jared and Xander were wonderful characters, and I loved the way they filled in the holes in each other's lives. A romance seemed impossible due to circumstances in their lives (no spoilers), but love always finds a way. Jared's parents were great, too, and I loved the way Jared's Dad had The Talk with Xander about his intentions toward Jared. Very amusing. I really enjoyed the banter and teasing between Xander and Jared, and the way Jared got Xander to try new musical things.

The narration by Michael Ferraiuolo was excellent. I have listened to many of his audiobook narrations, and I have yet to hear one that is anything but spectacular.
