About this listen

Available in audio first, a magnificent new stand-alone romance from New York Times best-selling author Corinne Michaels!

My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me.

My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed.

Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite.

I can’t stand him.

He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all. I’ve had enough unpredictability for one lifetime, thank you.

But soon enough, we’re fighting less and laughing more. He’s there for me when no one else is. And those good looks aren’t the only panty-dropping thing about him.

If I only knew what to do about it....

If I Only Knew by Corrine Michaels

The last book in the series, I can't believe it's over so quickly 🥺

This book is a continuation of what happens in Danielle Louise's life.
Danielle's husband was shot and killed in his office, and she is completely crushed and forced to adapt to her new reality - a young widow with 2 children.

Callum (Nicole's husband from the previous book), employs her and now she's the CEO's right hand, and does not allow her to sink into her tragedy.
Until.. Callum's brother - Milo Huxley - bursts into the office and demands she'll get out because this job belongs to him, Danielle of course is not moved by him and directs him to the exit because the chair belongs to her👑
Callum allows him to return but not to the position he demands, but as Danielle's close assistant, a strong blow to Milo's ego.🤭
Milo agrees but really doesn't make Danielle's life easy and Danielle doesn't stay obliged😂
and so begins the race for the coveted chair💺
Something in these cat-and-mouse races develops a confusing but magnetic relationship, Milo and Danielle are giving a chance to see what they have between them, and sparks fly 🔥🔥🔥

😍"What's happening with us?" Milo brings his lips to my forehead and places a soft kiss there. "I don't know, but I'm not sure I'm strong enough to stay away from you."😍

☄️"If I only knew the man who wanted to ruin me would end up being the man who put me back together, I would've never fought it to begin with."☄️

✍🏻"I'm trying so hard not to fall in love with you."
I look up, our eyes mirroring the same thing. "I'm trying, too."
"How are you doing so far?"
"Not very good." Milo smiles. "I'm neither.✍🏻

💋"Why do you always say the perfect thing?"
"Because you're the perfect woman for me. Our hearts aren't two beating as one. They're the same heart that finally found its rhythm."💋

I can go on with these amazing quotes all day, I wish I could highlight every exciting part of this book that I heard on audio.
Because I liked it, I ordered them printed 📚😍
I think this is the most beautiful book of the whole series, from book to book the author surpasses herself and she won my heart.
Milo's character surprised me so much, his sensitivity towards Danielle's situation.
And Danielle is totally a fighter she made my list of favorite strong women!
I recommend the whole series and hope it will be translated in Israel because it is a series you should not miss, exciting, funny, melts hearts and gives hope for a second chance for love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Im just in love with this series so much❤️❤️‍🔥

A second chance romance filled with the themes of difficult siblings, loss, love, and a lovely set of narrators. This is a 'mature' romance where the main characters actually have life experience. She has children and had a life before meeting the guy. Even the side characters have personalities (probably due to the fact that they also have their own stories in other books, not needed to enjoy this one). Our leading lady has actual friends who have their own personalities. The male is not instantly likeable. At times the story is a bit sappy, but it is a love story.

The story and narrators are good enough that I ended up fighting tears more often than I would have liked. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance. A decent amount of steam, without being over the top. (Halfway through before they "do the deed").

One usual problem when using multiple narrators for each chapter with different point of view (POV) is that sometimes the different narrators have to do each other's voices. And it is just gets weird at times.

A great listen with the right balance of family drama, friendship and romance. The dynamics of Danielle’s family is believable and relatable, the frenemies to lovers almost swoon-worthy. I don’t know why I kept thinking Milo was much younger than her though 🤔 he certainly came across as being immature and having major issues that we never see him work through although his relationship with his brother improved.
I love Danielle’s circle of friends, they are the kind of friends everyone needs.
A few things felt a little too “perfect” in the end but overall I enjoyed this one.

The female narrator's take on a British accent wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst- and of course, Shane East nailed the narration for Milo.

Enjoyable enemies to friends to lovers
