Summary

Three sisters...one terrible secret.

Ashleigh: a creative, free spirit and loyal. But Ash is tormented by her demons and a past that refuses to be laid to rest.

Jessica: perfect wife and loving mother. But although Jessica might seem to have it all, she lives a secret life built on lies.

Grace: an outsider, always looking in, Grace has never known the love of her sisters, and her resentment can make her do bad things.

When Ashleigh goes missing, Jessica and Grace do all they can to find their eldest sister. But the longer Ashleigh is missing, the more secrets and lies these women are hiding threaten to tear this family apart.

Can they find Ashleigh before it’s too late, or is it sometimes safer to stay hidden?

At least now I know

I've been curious about this collab after getting sucked into the Walker and Cavendish series which, let's be honest, is pretty average. This book is just awful. Weak, undeveloped storyline and characters, and absolutely no suspense. If you like a very basic storyline where you don't get invested into the characters at all then this is for you, it's like the budget version of supermarket food.

A bit of a struggle

Not sure why the ratings are so high, as it really was a bit of a struggle to remain engaged with this story for 8hrs.

Enjoyed - ending a bit annoying

Enjoyed this story, good characters, although at times Ash was a bit much and irritating, but then I suppose that's how she was meant to be portrayed. A bit repetitive in places and dragged out getting to the point.

Ending was OK but a bit predictable, but didn't ruin the story.

Kept me guessing and listening

The intriguing story line.

Loved the narration and the story line. Very engaging. I was disappointed to have reached the end. Always a good sign!

Depressing

I normally listen to Sally Rigby as her books are interesting crime dramas with humour interwoven. This book however I found quite dark and a bit depressing with not one iota of humour. Too dark and disturbing for me.

I was guessing right up to the end!

Good read and storyline with lots of twists and turns. I look forward to “reading” the next one.

Little disappointed

Story seemed to drag a little, the previous work by the combination of authors, I'd still like to listen in the future as I do like both authors individually

Not as good as other Rigbys

I was quite excited to find this given that I’m a massive Sally Rigby fan. And I LOVED the other Amanda Rigby one she did. But this didn’t quite do it for me in the same way. Still enjoyable but not exceptional.
