Summary

The incredible, frank, and moving autobiography by the Prince of F***ing Darkness!

Has there ever been a more extraordinary rock-star story than Ozzy Osbourne's? Born into a life so poor that the whole family slept in one room, Ozzy endured a tough upbringing. Music was his salvation, and his band Black Sabbath went on to change the music scene forever. But along with the rock and roll came the inevitable sex and drugs, and Ozzy fell into a long relationship with addictive substances.

The stories of Ozzy's days on the road are legendary - biting the head off a live bat, losing his best friend and writing partner Randy Rhoades in a tragic plane crash - but few know of the real heartbreak he suffered during those days of excess.

In the end, it was love that saved him: the love of his wife, Sharon, and his kids, Kelly, Jack and Aimee. In his highly anticipated autobiography, Ozzy comes clean - in all senses.

Great story

Being a long-term fan of Sabbath and Ozzy, there was a lot in this book was new to me, although I felt it was top-level as some of the stories were missing depth. I guess it's Ozzy’s memoirs, and maybe it's all he remembers?

Frank Skinner does a fair job of reading it - although I’d rather he hadn't attempted an American accent.

The recording is very ’tinnie’, which can be offputting at times, but I got used to it.

Too short!, Give us more!

I wanted so much to hear about one of the greatest metal stars, shame. After listening to Paul Stanley’s audiobook, this book needs redone to have more detail. Or maybe Ozzy can’t remember 😂

Quality book! Read so well too!

Great book and really well read. The only thing is the quality but I didn't tend to notice it after a while.

where's the rest of it

loved what I did hear, however scrunching the life of a legend into 3 hours doesn't work, and I know there's more in the book. Narration was alright.

My 1st audiobook. - is there always so much cut out?

Cracking book, I literally only bought it because I get distracted while reading so I own the book too. It seems a lot is left out. God knows how much really. Even a part that Ozzy is asked about in the interview at the end. Hope not all audiobooks are like this. Anyway, what they did include was awesome.
