This story reads like a first draft, there's things in there that you would write to the get book down on paper that should have been removed in the 2nd draft. There's definitely good potential here, so wouldn't say not to read it, but I just prefer a more polished version. However, this is just my opinion & who am I to judge, well done for getting the book out there.
The narration wasn't bad, but wasn't particularly great either, didn't really help me to stay focused on the story & he tended not to snap out of the way a character spoke when going back & forth into narration. Definitely not the worst narration though.
