He's a Maui beach bum.
She's a workaholic lawyer on vacation.
What happens in Maui, stays in Maui. Unless you run into your vacation fling back home....
Much to her annoyance, workaholic lawyer Ava Ruiz is forced to take a vacation to a tropical paradise. Unable to tear her mind off her cases, she's counting down the days until she can go back to work.
Until she meets Ford.
Admittedly, she has nothing in common with the gorgeous surfer. She's type-A and he's the definition of laid-back. But for a few steamy days, that fails to matter thanks to their instant and undeniable attraction.
Inevitably, all good things must come to an end...or do they?
Once back to their "real world" lives, Ava and Ford come face-to-face in a surprise reunion that takes a turn when he asks her to help him out by playing along with a fake engagement. Reluctantly going along with the ruse, Ava soon finds herself wondering if either of them is pretending, after all.
Hula Girl is sexy vacation/fake fiancée stand-alone romance with a guaranteed HEA from the author of the Rogue Series.

A book in two halves
Sweet, romantic and commercial. The readers were up to the job, I enjoyed Hugh Bradley's voice.

Totally sucked in. Great narrations brought the story to reality. Ford and Ava were as opposite as they come but found their souls were a perfect fit right in the middle. Some predictability and little angst but I was invested in both characters to the HEA.
I was gifted this copy and am freely offering my honest review.
👍🏻👍🏻 Two Thumbs Up

Does NOT Disappoint!!
If I thought this book was good in print, hearing Ford and Ava’s story come to life only solidified how amazing their love story is and how great Lara Ward Cosio is at keeping her reader (listener) hanging on every word. I had never listened to an audiobook narrated by either Barrie Kealoha or Hugh Bradley and initially that made me nervous, as I am a self proclaimed narrator snob. But both narrators did a wonderful job and I couldn’t imagine anyone else reading those characters. Bottom line...whether you read this book or listen to the audio, you’ll be getting a feel good love story that no one should miss...especially in all the craziness and uncertainty that is currently all of our lives. Please listen, you will not be disappointed!
