Great read. The author knows his stuff! Now I know how to deal with the many non-stop talking people I come across who forget the rules of a 2 sided conversation

Immensely Insightful

There are so many things to learn from this book start with how the brain works, why people are different,It's a lot of useful informations to learn but there is too much introduction at the beginning until to get to the point of how to talk to anyone, because the author would like to us to completely understand the perspective, good example and clear explanation, the plus is I quite enjoy listening to Scottish accent, quite charming.

Good book

First part of the book was a total waste of time. Hardly anything to learn about smalltalk. Last half was relevant and interesting.

I thought I knew and understood my own limitations when it comes to talking effectively to anyone, yet this book highlighted for me two key aspects I didn’t know about: the power of the unconscious mind, and perception. These have shed a whole new light.
It’s clear that the Author’s background in NLP, years of coaching and presenting have brought together what I feel is lacking in other books like this. Understanding the brain is key to be able to use the excellent tools in Part 2.

A comprehensive guide for anyone to understand why you struggle to talk to anyone and how to overcome it!

Not really a book if you are looking for lots of small talk dialogue type stuff but definitely valuable insight to thinking and acting around small talk itself

More the science behind talking
