This book not only gives the listener a good perspective about the realities of an empty nest, but gives really concrete ways to take charge of your life, cope with the changes, and thrive in the life phases that follow. I also liked the focus on rekindling your marriage, if it has suffered through the years. It was a good reminder that if you once loved your spouse, you can love them again! I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

One thing I really appreciated about the book was the author's empathetic tone. She clearly understands how difficult it can be to watch your children leave the family home, and her words are full of compassion and encouragement. Reading her advice felt like having a friend by my side, someone who had been through it all and was ready to offer support.
Another aspect of the book that really resonated with me was its focus on self-care and personal growth. The author emphasizes the importance of taking care of yourself during this time, both physically and emotionally. She also provides practical exercises for reconnecting with your inner purpose and finding new passions and hobbies to pursue.
Perhaps most valuable of all, though, was the book's focus on relationships. The author encourages empty nesters to focus on connecting with their adult children and spouse, and offers concrete strategies for doing so. As someone who was struggling to adjust to my new role as an empty nester, I found her advice to be incredibly helpful.
Overall, "How to Survive the Empty Nest Phase" is a must-read for anyone going through this major life transition. It's full of practical tips, heartfelt advice, and a genuine sense of understanding and support. I highly recommend it!
