About this listen

Parents will learn how stress affects parenting; how to offer self-esteem "damage control"; how to identify a "toxic" parent; how to help your child cope with failure; and the three keys to coaching your child towards solid self-esteem.

Dr. Janet Hall is a psychologist in private practice in Richmond, Melbourne, Australia. "Dr. Jan" uses hypnotherapy as a tool in her treatment of clients and is often asked to use hypnosis as the primary method for breaking undesirable habits.

I gave this audiobook one star only because I could not write the review unless I rated the audiobook, it doesn't even rate one star. The author should be done for misrepresentation, the title should be How NOT to super-boost your child's self-esteem because that is all the author focuses on. This is a 27 minute audiobook and over 20 minutes she talks about toxic/bad parents and what you shouldn't do. One example she gives is how a parent of a bed wetter rubbed the child's face in her urine, obviously this will not boost any child's self esteem. She spends a few minutes on encouragement and allowing your child to be right at times, then she starts waffling on about how Austrailians have a fear of public speaking, what has that got to do with how I super-boost my child's self esteem.

I purchased this audiobook as my child is being bullied at school and has very low self esteem and I wanted some tips and techniques on how to boost his self esteem and got nothing at all from this book. A complete waste of my money and my time.

Utter rubbish
