Unfortunately for me the narrator was off putting and not ideal as felt there was a lot to the content so would be best for me to read rather than listen on this occasion.
Having read another in the Master Your Mind series by Howard Hudson was looking forward to this book as enjoyed his book on Emotional Intelligence. I find a lot of self development books audio can be a good way to listen to the book but there is also the risk I find when not narrated by the author that some of it can get lost in translation from word to voice and that is the case for this audiobook. For me the narrator had a stop start and emphasised certain words is how it felt and that detracted from the listening experience. It was hard to concentrate on the message underneath and tried to overcome the distracting voice, but found it hard to separate speaker from words on this occasion.

If you have issues with overthinking, then this book is for you. The author will provide you with strategies on how to conquer overthinking. He discusses the narrative that is present in your head and pushes you to think about the future and not dwell on the past. He will show you how to focus on what you can control and not sweat the small stuff. And drill down on the root of the problem so you can address it. He discusses things like meditation and mindfulness to reduce stress. And points out that you maybe can’t control your thoughts, but you can control your responses. Free yourself from overthinking and live a happier life. I would recommend this book to anyone having issues with overthinking.

A very practical audiobook by the author in teaching listeners ways of changing the narrative in your head to stop overthinking. The truth is we need to identify the root of the problem and distractions are not always helpful. The chapters on managing your stress and focusing on what you can control.

Learnt a lot!
