The narration is calm and steady, which really helps when the topics get heavy.. it creates a space that feels safe to sit with uncomfortable truths. What stood out to me was how practical the tools are. They're simple, but they interrupt old patterns and help you respond with more awareness and self-respect. It’s not just advice, it’s a steady reminder that healing happens in small, consistent steps. It helped me realize I don’t need to fix everything at once, I just need to keep showing up for myself..

This short book takes the listener through the process: of recognising when childhood trauma may intrude into adult thoughts, emotions and actions, resulting in dysfunctional inter-personal relationships; ways to counter the negatives after forgiveness and practical exercises to implement the advice. The range of strategies and exercises means most will finf something to which they relate.

It became repetitive when advice on being your own parent effectively dup[licated the previous strategies on self-care.

The narrator injected emotion and some understanding into the text, but stumbled on some words.
