This book as the author mentions at the start, sets itself apart from others like it in the fact that it sheds light on how to open, run, and grow a business when you do not have any money to start with. It breaks down five beliefs that are fundamental to ensuring a solid foundation for your business, and that will ensure its long-term success. It goes into detail about various business models, budgets and strategies, franchising and more.

I loved how the author’s considerable experience showed so clearly throughout the book. He actually walks you through it, and gives you practical knowledge, rather than just abstract concepts. The raw honesty with which he bases his advice on is exemplary. The author failed, learnt from his mistakes and tried again. The style of prose is engaging, well thought out and researched, and easy to follow.

Overall, I highly agree with the author’s sentiment that your business needs to be agile. During trying times, especially like this current pandemic, your business needs to be able to adapt, remodel and transform. I highly recommend reading this valuable tool. It is insightful and inspiring.
