Sebbie
Life's pretty good. I love my job, I feed the crows in my yard, and I have some awesome friends. Sure, I was kidnapped by a cult recently, but my friends rescued me, so no harm done. And, okay, people do tend to die around me, but I work in a hospital. That's normal… right? Death isn't scary anyway—it's just another beginning. Unfortunately, most guys I date don't see it that way. My love life has been pretty empty, but I just met someone new. He's ridiculously cute and even likes crows. I just hope he's not scared off when he learns about my job.
Corbin
I take great satisfaction in removing hellbound souls from the world—especially the ones who prey on the weak. With my pack and my familiar, Crow, at my side, life is steady and peaceful. At least, it was until Sebbie. The cute, bubbly man is far more than he realizes, and he's about to turn everything upside down. There's just one little problem: he doesn't know the supernatural exists… or that he's a supernatural being. I want to help him harness his powers, but there's a catch—if I'm not careful, Sebbie might end up killing me in the process.
Tags: Crows hold grudges; Death is actually cheerful; Corbin's as obsessed with shiny things as his birds; The pack shows up to create chaos; Thea is determined to be Sebbie's new bestie; Jude doesn't get arrested (or maybe he does?); there's torture and death (but only of really bad people); hellhounds have tails, and they know how to use them.

I found Seb & Corbin perfectly matched and their relationship seemed really straightforward and easy. Perhaps a little too easy at times. But it was adorable!!
My only issue is that I wanted to see a bit more of Corbins witch side, Its been built up quite a bit I think and it could have really enhanced this book. I would have loved him to use that side to help Seb more, but it focused more on Seb and his abilities. I’ve read the Afterlife adventures series so it was nice to see a certain someone from that in this and for him to have a decent influence here.
I literally cannot wait for Jude’s book! I’m really hoping the series doesn’t end there I could keep reading about this Pack forever 🥰
Perfect addition to the series!

This time we get Sebbie and Corbin's story, and I really enjoyed both of them as characters. Sebbie has always been a bit of an enigma, so discovering who and what he actually is was easily the highlight of this installment for me. I found myself just as invested in that overarching storyline as I was in the romance. It was also nice to see the wider series plot move forward, particularly with Sebbie discovering previously unknown abilities and using them to ensure the Sheriff's safety.
Corbin was a lovely counterpart to Sebbie. As both a Hellhound and a witch, he was patient, supportive, and quietly protective throughout, and I really liked the dynamic between them. Their relationship felt a little different from the previous couples, too. The fated mates aspect was still there, but it felt more like a backdrop this time, allowing their emotional connection to take centre stage. Their chemistry felt a little sweeter and a bit more heartfelt than overtly physical, which made their relationship feel distinct within the series.
The found family continues to be one of my favourite aspects of these books. I love spending time with the whole pack, and the banter, affection, and chaos they bring whenever they're together never fails to make me smile.
I once again listened to the audiobook narrated by Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma, who continue to do a fantastic job bringing these characters to life. Their performances capture both the humour and the heartfelt moments so well, and at this point, I honestly can't imagine experiencing this series any other way.
Overall, this was another enjoyable addition to this quirky, low-angst paranormal MM romance series, and I'm very much looking forward to Jude and the Sheriff's book. 🌶🌶
