About this listen

The BBC Radio 2 Book Club pick and instant Sunday Times best seller

You can save hundreds of lives.

Or the one that matters most....

The atmosphere on board the first non-stop flight from London to Sydney is electric. Celebrities are rumoured to be among the passengers in business class, and the world is watching the landmark journey.

Flight attendant Mina is trying to focus on the passengers, instead of her troubled five-year-old daughter back at home - or the cataclysmic problems in her marriage.

But soon after the plane takes off, Mina receives a chilling anonymous note. Someone wants to make sure the plane never reaches its destination. They're demanding her cooperation...and they know exactly how to get it.

It's 20 hours to landing.

A lot can happen in 20 hours....

The book is a fun thriller which keeps you engaged, but has a silly ending. It is really let down by the poor narration. Ithas multiple first person POVs and would have benefited from several different narrators. Instead the single narrator makes no attempt to differentiate her voice between POVs, Therefore, if you pick the book back up half way through a chapter it can be hard to figure out who is talking. She also sounds like she was ill during the recording and speaks like she has cotton wool in her throat.

This was so unexpectedly exciting and enjoyable. Both well written and narrated. Characters were well drawn.

Gripping from start to finish. So well crafted, with a great twist at the end. Loved it.

This book is simply outstanding! One of my favourite Audible listens. So exciting, tense and thrilling, with believable characters and a plot which moves at speed and keeps you guessing.

I have loved other Clare MacIntosh books but this is simply the best. The narrator did a good job too.
