Summary

You are not broken. Being a woman is not a diagnosis. Take your body back with the groundbreaking new science for women in Hormone Intelligence.

Hormonal. We all know what it means when we hear it - and feel it. While hormonal shifts are natural throughout women’s lives, too many experience distressing period symptoms, struggle daily with PCOS, endometriosis, a fertility challenge, pain, low sex drive, sleep problems, acne, bloating, hot flashes, and more - all due to hormone-related problems. And too many are unable to get the answers they’re really seeking from their doctors.

There is a solution. In Hormone Intelligence, Yale trained and internationally renowned women’s health expert, Dr. Aviva Romm, helps you identify the root causes of your symptoms and guides you through a six-week proven program to achieve lifelong hormonal and gynecologic health. Using a holistic, dietary-and-lifestyle-changing approach, Hormone Intelligence goes beyond treating symptoms to the deeper factors impacting women’s health, so you can reclaim your body, hormones, and self.

Inside Hormone Intelligence, you’ll find:

  • Hormone health 101: Understand the key components of the hormone epidemic and associated dietary and lifestyle triggers.
  • Symptoms and root causes demystified: Discover what your symptoms are saying about your hormones with quizzes, checklists, trackers, and more.
  • A six-week action plan: Learn what foods you should indulge and avoid, how to repair your microbiome to support hormone health, how to identify environmental hormone disruptors, engage your body’s natural detoxification systems and reduce hidden inflammation, and the lifestyle changes that lead to happy, healthy hormones.
  • Delicious, done-for-you meal plans to take you through the entire program, including vegan options.

Hormone Intelligence is an invitation to a whole new relationship with your body and hormones, the exhale you’ve been waiting for, and the first step on the road to realizing that a diagnosis does not have to be your destiny.

Absolute bobbins

Dreadful book full of useless words and lists.. Zero science - full of emotional babble - no useful advise other than a bit of doctor bashing and “women haven’t been heard”. Waste of money

Finally answers to all the questions I try to google!

I rarely write reviews but absolutely had to for this book. If you are in the fence about getting it - just buy it!! You absolutely will not regret.

I’ve been following Aviva for awhile now and I’ve had so many ah-ha moments just from the info she shares in her podcasts. However, this book puts it all together for you (which, in my experience, few doctors will do for me).

The book has all the info that I try to google or search message boards for and can never truly find. She’s a goddess. Thank you so much, Aviva for this brilliant book. Based on some of the issues I experience, I already am on track to better understanding how I can improve my situation and my overall wellness.

I’m buying a hard copy so I can have on hand to revisit some things or give to a friend/family member in need of reading this.

Better in printed version.

if English is not your mother tongue, then you might like this book better in printed version because of all the herbs and stuff mentioned.
middle of the book could be skipped. at one point I was thinking why I'm listening and what am I listening as I picked this up because of practical advices, but middle of book is more motivational speech on boosting self confidence. now I'm going to practice the food and vitamins and see how it improves my diagnosis.
in general it's full with info if you know nothing it will give you plenty of info. if you know your diagnosis, you can listen to just part that relates to you

Love Aviva but…

The narrator is terrible! It sounds as though she’s reading urgent headlines and I get stressed just listening to hear talk…or is it my hormones?! Ha! Every time I want to finish this one I stop because of the narration.

is profanity really necessary?

I enjoyed most of this book. There's a wealth of great information and I was ready to keep this book on hand to listen to over and over again but I am dismayed by the author's use of profanity. she speaks of toxins in our environment, well Dr. romm, toxins are found in lots of places and I believe that includes in the language we surround ourselves with so I won't be listening again. I don't expect such word choices from a professional.
