Summary
When disaster strikes, paradise calls....
As a published novelist, Lila Rose has been writing about fictional weddings all her life. But disaster strikes on her own big day when she hears her philandering fiancé, Daniel, whispering sweet nothings to someone else. With her dream day shattered, all Lila wants to do is run and hide, so she decides to fly solo on her own honeymoon.
When Daniel arrives in the resort with his new squeeze, Lila strikes up a ‘showmance’ with hot new movie star Freddie Bianchi. Freddie is perfect for the part, and Lila soon relaxes into her leading lady role.
But as truth starts to merge with fiction, could real love be in the air?
A sizzling holiday romance, perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Lindsey Kelk and Sophie Ranald’s Sorry Not Sorry.

nonsense!
maybe this is a book for younger people, but it was fairy tale nonsense. cooky friends, boyfriends gone from perfect to awful human beings overnight, exotic islands, incognito film stars??.... please, I am not 12. even the narrator sounded like she could not believe the words coming out of her mouth. Nevertheless, I got through it. a full 2 stars because I could see younger people enjoying the escapism of this fairy tale tripe.

Funny book.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters. They were not flat, but funny and interesting. I hated that Daniel was a cheater. I hated that Lila must have felt like she wasn't enough for Daniel. Instead of feeling that there was something wrong with him not her. Anyway, it was a good book with a predictable outcome. Which is what we usually hope for.

Narrator one of my favorites. Weak story though
I’ve been going through Portia’s books this summer and I really like the narrator. She does most of these books. She wasn’t as good in this book simply because there’s a lot of male voice conversations with accents and she didn’t do it very well. Other than that a fun silly story, and a great listen.

So Annoying!
Sorry but I could not finish this book! It had such good ratings I thought I'd really enjoy the story and the "laugh out loud" fun it was supposed to bring! , boy was I wrong on both counts!! The heroine was so annoying I'm surprised I made it as far as chapter 16! At that point I gave up and just jumped ahead to the last chapter where, in the last 5 minutes of the book, (Spoiler) the couple finally admitted they loved each other! Glad I didn't waste my time reading the rest ! I enjoy a good romance but find books where there are nothing but misunderstandings right up to the end just plain aggravating! The narrator was pretty good and I would have enjoyed her more had the book.been better!

AMAZING rom-com..
OMG OMG OMGGGGG that was really CUUUUTTEEEE I kept laughing and swooning with Lila this was sooo amazing
The story follows Lila who discovers that her Fiancée is cheating on her .. with her friend .. on their WEDDING DAY !!, so she breaks down and decides to go on the honeymoon she planned for both of them alone, in an island in Italy, and there she meets Freddie, he is a movie star looking for some time alone .. but when they meet there will be a lot that will keep them stuck together in this hilarious story about moving on and love
I can't express how much I loved this book, it reminded me of Sophie Kinsella's books, specially (Can You Keep A Secret ? ) it was sooo good
The narrator was EXCELLENT .. she performed so flawlessly that I felt I was there with them .. amazing job worth your credit
