Summary

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Courtney Walsh returns with a hopeful and emotional new book about seizing second chances, finding yourself, and forging your own path.

Beth Whitaker isn't supposed to be a small-town girl. She's always dreamed of leaving Willow Grove, Illinois, for the big city, but she feels trapped, struggling to make up for a mistake that's haunted her for years. Just when Beth is finally ready to break free, her sister impulsively buys a beloved but run-down farm on the outskirts of town, and she begs Beth to help with the restoration. Reluctantly, Beth agrees to help - and puts her own dreams on hold once again.

Drew Barlow hasn't been back to Fairwind Farm since he was a boy, and he's spent all these years trying to outrun the pain of a past he thought he buried long ago. When he learns that the owner has passed away, his heart knows it's finally time to do the right thing. Returning to Willow Grove, Drew revisits the old farm, where he attempts to piece together his memories and the puzzle of the crime he witnessed so long ago.

Both on a journey to find peace, Beth and Drew are surprised when they begin to experience a restoration of their own. But when long-buried secrets break through the soil and the truth unfurls, will it threaten their budding relationship - and the very future of the farm?

For those women who feel trapped in their back business persona!

Beth was a young woman who separated her dreams to become the business woman everyone else wanted her to be: perfect. But a business mistake costs her job. How would she find who she really is and what she should become? After missing the point in the first two chapters, I realized that I HAD to find out her path. It kept me turning pages. And I hated to put the book down. Wish I would have read this fictional work - over and over again - when I was a young businesswoman. Do share this highly recommended book with all your working daughters, kin, and friends!!!

Sweet Romance with a mystery...

Great story with a fabulous narrator—and anyone who loves audiobooks knows you need both. A very light inspirational message, no consummated love scenes and a mystery that will keep you guessing. ❤️❤️❤️ this audiobook!

Excellent story!

This is my first Courtney Walsh book and I really adored it! The story was poignant, heart warming, at times heart wrenching. The wounded hero, Drew, was the strong silent type who had experienced a tragedy as a young boy and had never recovered from it. I love the way the author showed his view point as well as Beth, heroine, view point. The story was rich with well developed characters, romance and mystery. It was a clean, sweet, inspirational read that showed how God can work even through tragedy. I highly recommend this book!

forgive oneselif

I enjoyed this story about an overachiever who finally realizes that sometimes "mistakes" can be used for the good of others and self. By giving of herself, she was able to find the forgiveness needed to go forward with her life.

I both read and listened and enjoyed both ways.

My first book from Courtney Walsh

Two sisters decide to buy a farm and bring it back to life - well, one sister was thrilled with this idea along with the town. Drew comes back to the farm in order to help bring back memories of his friends abduction. My heart went out to Drew as a little boy because even though he was knocked out during the abduction no one showed him any concern or compassion.
