I found this novel well written, well paced and engaging. The narration was very good and I would definitely recommend listening to it. I will seek out other novels by this author.

Loved this but really hated Orla from the start. I wanted a little more from the ending but it was a good read.

I read the reviews and I settled down for a good listen but half way through I just got bored, continued until the end but the story was underwhelming. the characters and subsequent discoveries felt juvenile and undeveloped. if in doubt always throw in long term friends/lovers how have no loyalty and will always without doubt side with a stranger.

I’m an avid consumer of audiobooks and I found this one very enjoyable. Good storyline and believable characters. Good narration too. It was well paced and plotted out. Could give rise to a sequel.

Best read of 2025! Story was superbly written and the narrator gave so much life to the performance. I thoroughly recommend Ruth’s previous book too. Can’t wait to listen to another!
