Summary

It’s been a long hard ride for Morgan and everyone. Just when things were starting to look up, the park was attacked, and they lost Bobbie. Danny’s physical wounds were nothing like the emotional loss of Bobbie. It was hard on Mel as well, and the rest of the group also felt the loss. With the attacks on the community becoming a greater threat, they must be dealt with. These attacks must end. But what can the group do against an army with artillery?

It’s been almost a year since "The Day", and Morgan is worried about his parents. It’s something that has been on his mind, often hidden or buried under the daily burden of his new reality. That worry is getting harder to ignore, and something is going to have to be done, so he can know, one way or another.

Even with all the life-threatening issues, life must go on. The daily requirements of feeding everyone and dealing with the innumerable challenges that crop up must be addressed. And there’s Fred’s pregnancy. While a blessing, it presents serious risks to her. Morning sickness is the least of her concerns. The only easy day in this new world is yesterday.

one of the best series I've ever read

this book was as captivating as all the rest. none stop and couldn't out it down. Even when there was no action going on, you become so attached to the characters you just enjoy the journey. However, I have to say in the last 4 books I've been thinking, that the main character has been sounding smug and arrogant, always seeming to kniw stuff others don't and sickly how much they all admire him for knowing stuff that just all sounds a little unrealistic. like no one else knows nothing and he just happens to know everything. a little far fetched and has made me dislike the character a bit. He is like some big hero with even the sarj kissing his backside, also out of character when actually he hasn't done anything that other haven't done so how'd he get to be this big legend? He's no better than the other soldiers in fact he ain't as good and has t done any where near what they have done. I've started mumbling SMUG GIT when he says stuff now. However still give this 10 out of 10 and love this series it never gets boring.

Felt rushed

I have listened to all the other Survivalist books and not been disappointed, Duke Fontaine is the perfect narrator for the stories. I felt as if this was a rushed ending to the series (I presume it is the last one), although nice in its own way it was a far cry from the other books and felt as if there was more packed in but less detail. However saying this it was still a good listen and I will not be returning it. Maybe if I listen to all 10 books in succession then it will feel as if it flows better. In fact I think I will do that right now.

Great conclusion

This last book in the "Survivalist" series neatly ties up many of the loose ends left dangling in the previous 9 books but leaves just enough to have us wondering if more is coming. I have listened through this whole series 4 times now and I know I will be back again. Thank you, audible, A. American, and Duke Fontaine for many, many hours of gripping entertainment and education.

Great sorry thus far but starting to run out.

really enjoyed the series thus far and eagerly await new installments but starting to think the plot has been b wretched as far as it can go. The episodes are getting shorter with less major happening and plot is starting to edge close to repeating itself with only cosmetic changes.
