Summary

Safety is an illusion. Security is only a fleeting sense. Peace is a myth.

Steve and the other survivors in the UK have rebuilt and healed after the brutal end to the reign of Richards. But removing a dictator was only the beginning....

Years after a mistake of compassion and humanity, an enemy thought long gone returns to bring down a rain of violence and terror the likes of which they have never seen before.

Their society, a peaceful one of trade and cooperation, has moved on from the bloody aftermath of the collapse, but that evolution blunts their teeth to be able to combat the new threat.

The call to return to the rainy shores of England is strong for Dan and his fearless accomplices, so they return home to do what they do best: bring justice to a lawless world.

After it Happened Book 1-9

I am bereft having just finished Book 9. This series was bought on a whim and I’ve listened to nothing else since the first ten minutes of Book 1. To want to listen to 9 Audibles in a row speaks volumes for the story and the characters. Great that it’s all UK based and whilst some may say the Alpha Males are a combination of Alpha Males, after 30 years Military and Police service, I recognise a few of my former colleagues in Dan, Mitch, Steve and Leah. Great stuff... I’ve no idea how I or the dog will cope without two hour walks that I used as an excuse for this excellent and exciting collection. I think it’s without doubt the best series I’ve ever read/listened too and would make a fantastic film or even better, a TV series. The UK version of Walking Dead... without the Walking but plenty of Dead.

Really enjoying this Series

The tall of the UK group after Richerds overthrow. Interesting how some people work to improve the groop and everyone work as a whole and others try to take advantage of anyone and everything. Much like real life but without a Dan and Ash to help. Enjoying the Leah story ark and the other characters past and present.that have got us to this point.

An awesome adventure

I missed my adventure with Dan and the gang of survivors. And this was a great return to series, I was glad to see Rc Bray had returned to bring Dan and the gang back to my ears.

Another fantastic story

Though I was not sure that we would be gifted with another story of Dan from the After It Happened series, when I heard it was coming, I awaited eagerly. It did not disappoint. This story has all the grit and adventure of the others, but with some really enjoyable humour that made me laugh out loud. You do not need to have read or listened to the previous books to enjoy this, but I am sure you will want to after. Thanks Devon, you are a champion for sharing this story. Oh and RC Bray does a great job... As always!

Dan and Ash still kick backsides.

Loved it, rounds off their story with an epic, tense and laugh out loud funny tale. I loved the original series, and the two Leah based books but this is DCFs fi est work.

Another DCF winner!

An excellent addition to the After It Happened series! Devon C Ford writes characters that you come to know and love. This book was satisfying on so many levels! Excellent storytelling, great characters, and action sequences made this a non-stop listen. Bray is amazing. I laughed and cried. I didn't realize just how much I missed Dan and his band of survivors! I hope this isn't the last of them. Highly recommend!

EXCEPTIONAL

110% a 10 out of 10 review, I laughed, I cried and I ugly cried, especially in those last 20 seconds of the story, I was thrown for a loop in more then one areas but that ending was to much but also SPECTACULAR. Devon ford is a literary genius right down to the person chosen to read this to me. is there a book 10? how about another Leah chronicles? please for the love of ash give us more! and tissues... more tissues are needed.

A Great Sequel

a great continuation of the After It Happened series. As Dan and his group return to the UK to help old friends fend off opposition to their way of life.

Great story, great characters, and better writing.

I have been addicted to this series ever since books 1 & 2 came out, and even though this last book is a bit slower than the rest, it is still a great installment in this fast paced, gritty, and often hilarious series. It almost works seeing how the characters have aged almost a decade with the reader, so slower than they used to be makes sense. I suggest starting at book one, but the book is readable without the prior knowledge. Enjoy!

Love, Love, Love

This is one of my favorite post Apocalyptic series. I'm not a scholar of accents or dialects, but I think the narrator is perfect. The story has everything I enjoy and specifically No Zombies! It is just a heartfelt adventure of survival, rebirth and the many facets of humanity, good and bad. I highly recommend this series. You will not be disappointed.

Ford + Bray = Listener's Delight!

This is likely to be the final culminating storyline\narration in regards to "After It Happened - Home" between Devon C. Ford and R.C. Bray. As this is likely the end of the series.. (HOPEFULLY NOT!!!) This audiobook "Home" was one to behold as it had action, moments of life and death, revenge and as expected moments of levity. Be warned though that if you have followed all of the books thus far and are invested into the characters you will likely become emotional at some point. Having said that, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUDIOBOOK!

Amazing!!

I've have now listened to all the books of this series. RC Brays voice makes it 1000% better! An amazing story with an amazing narrative. Thrilling; heart pounding; and intriguing are just some of the things this book brings to the table. From book one all the way here to book nine. RC Brays voice sucks you in and you cannot stop wanting more. I'll be coming back for a second and third listen. Thank you Devon C. Ford for a wonderful story.

thank God RC Bray is back

good story. I like the author's style and Temple the book. And basically is closure for several character Arks. and the woes of getting older. if you read the others just keep reading.
