About this listen

It’s time to get drunk on love!

The Cocktail Girls is a shared world between 14 of your favorite romance authors! Each novella is a stand-alone story set in the city of sin.

His Whiskey Sour

Easton Harrison always gets what he wants. All this rock star has to do is crook his finger and women come running. Unfortunately, hookups don’t inspire the songs for which he’s known, and Easton hasn't been able to write a word since his last hit.

After he lands an exclusive gig in Vegas at the Millennium Hotel, the pressure’s on to write a new album. But Ireland, the challenging and sexy-as-hell cocktail waitress who works downstairs at the hotel’s swanky bar, is exactly what he needs.

She's his muse whether she likes it or not. Too bad she doesn't date musicians.

She hates him; he wants her. It’s a match made in songwriting heaven, as long as he can convince her he’s worth the time.

What a fun book! I loved this short cocktail girl’s romance by Kim Loraine. The duet narration by Zachary Webber and Kylie C Stewart was perfect. This book is a standalone listen and part of a series by various authors. The sassy waitress and the rockstar are a fun combination. Their chemistry was hot, the story was great, and the imagery perfect.

Delicious!

Kim Loraine mixes a great cocktail with this novella! Rockstar Easton Harrison is in Vegas, when he a waitress catches his eye. Ireland doesn't date those she serves, but there is something about Easton that is alluring. Their instant attraction has released the block on Easton's songwriting, so he has no intention of letting her go. But will she be willing to take a chance with her him and lose her heart? While I could have listened to more of their story(hint, hint), I loved how much was packed into it. Loraine has filled this short with lustful, hot scenes, learning to trust and a couple I loved getting to know. Add narration by Zachary Webber and Kylie C Stewart, and it's nothing short of intoxicating.

Nice story, told in duet, which I always prefer. However the 3 stars given for performance are all for the female narrator. I find Zachary extremely monotone, except when he read a question. I have avoided his work in the past for this reason, but wanted to hear if anything changed when narrating in duet. But no, no change. Well done to Kylie. She saved the day. I liked that the storyline moved quickly to the HEA.

Nice
