Summary

A new space pirate adventure from NYT and USAT best-selling author Michelle M. Pillow.

Dragon-shifter Lochlann left home to avoid a war in which he didn’t believe. Now, as captain of The Conqueror, in charge of a misfit crew, all he wants is to return without the label of coward. He’s been offered one chance at redemption: find Margot, a noblewoman’s missing sister. The only problem is, the woman disappeared years ago, and his closest lead is a stunningly beautiful look-alike droid crafted in her image. Alexis is programed to be everything he could ever desire, but getting her to reveal her secrets proves to be a true challenge for this alpha male.

Being a base model pleasure droid isn’t as glamorous as it sounds. Alexis can’t remember a time when she wasn’t the property of others. Multiple surgeries and endless tests have amounted to a life not worth living. When a pirate crew visits her facility, she sneaks onto their ship. Desperate not to be returned to her owners, she strikes a deal with the alluring captain: pretend to be Margot in exchange for freedom.

A Qurilixen World novel.

Series note: Dragon Lords fans - find out what happened to Margot!

Another hit

This is book 3 in the space lord series . Lochlann is a dragon shifter who left his home planet due to a war he didn’t believe in and he wants to return without being classed as a coward. To redeem himself he has been looking for Margot the sister of a noblewoman and he’s led to a droid who is made to look like what Margot would look like now , however all is not what it seems with Alexis the said droid and when they find out what’s been going on Lochlann and his crew vow to protect her.

An Absolute Treat of a Story

I loved this from start to finish. Alexis is such a unique character and she’s been through so much during her life. She’s been abused but is still vulnerable, kind and thoughtful. Always putting others first. She’s rescued from a living hell by a bunch of space pirates and it was amazing to see her meet her mate and have her happy ending.

Another Great

Rick finds a Droid and brings her on board Lachlann's ship. Alexis 9.7 bleeds red not green. She's human. I like this book, the description of the world makes it so real. The romance is really sweet. I suggest listening to this book, the narrators voice draws you in immediately. He does a lot of Michelle's audiobooks I believe. This was a fun and fast listen.

Hauntingly romantic

I believe that I will remember this story for quite sometime to come. A horrific tragedy turned into a budding romance many years later. The story twist was not one that I saw coming. Nice addition to the series. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.

Really enjoyable

Having read several of the Quirlixen world books before, I was sure that this tale would not disappoint. The story was well written from the start to the end. The recording was well presented and easy to listen to. Severally a really enjoyable listen.

Intense listen!!

Margot’s story has been my favorite so far!! I’m not sure if it’s because it focused less on the shifters and more on the droid and the twisted games that the company did in a effort to push a pleasure pleasing model. We discover Alexis who looks very much like Margot-her story is heartbreaking and it really pulls your heartstrings everything that Alexis has endured and what she continues to endure. It was a addicting listen. I loved the plot twists!! Michael Ferraiuolo did a fabulous job portraying the crew and the main characters. The story is told in dual pov and it was well done. Absolutely loved the sci-fi vibes without it be overwhelming.

A Tragic Story with a Happily Ever After Ending

His Metal Maiden is currently the best of the two books in the Space Lords series, that I have listened to. Rick has stolen Alexis, a pleasure unit from Larceny Casino Corps onto his spaceship, The Conqueror. Lochlan, who is the captain realized what his crew member, Rick did, wanted to either return Alexis, drop her off on the first planet or shot her off into space. Larceny Casino Corps was an organization, that no one would want to cross.

When the crew of Conqueror realized that Alexis is human, they were more than ready to fight for Alexis' freedom.

Alexis has gone through alot from being sold from one owner to another owner until Larceny Casino bought her and did several medical experiment on her. Even Alexis knew that she should have been dead but she survived those horrific experiment.

Lochlan has been branded a traitor by the Dracs for choosing his best friend who is a Var. He could never returned home unless he could find and bring home Margot. What he found is Alexis, who strangely resembled Margot. It would be so simple to have Alexis posed as Margot but being an honorable man, he would not take the easy route out.

I love this book because the story start off tragically but it came with a happy ending.

I love the narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo. He did a wonderful job with Alexis. Alexis sounds human but with a bit robotic. I also love how he makes the characters in the story, sound alive.

I can hardily wait for Rick's story. By right, Alexis should have fallen for Rick but Rick would have been all wrong for Alexis. Rick is always getting himself into trouble. He needs a strong heroine .

I was given this audiobook by the author. I have decided voluntary to write an unbiased review for this book. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.

His Metal Maiden, part of the Qurilixen world and the the 3rd Space Lord novel.
I just didnt want this one to end, I loved every minute of it!!
Alexis has such a dark & tortured past and Lochlann feels an instant bond and need to protect her. This is an amazing sci-fi / shifter world that the author created! And these are great audios to listen to!!!

Favorite so far

This is my favorite of the 3 so far because of it's darker tones. This is Lochlann's story and it is a doozy.
SPOILERS******
The poor dragon shifter gave up on finding a mate long ago and as such, smashed his crystal plus he is banished from Quirilixen as a traitor. His one hope to go home is to find Margot, the sister of a noble woman. Things get interesting when he and the crew decide to help rescue a "Pleasure Droid" named Alexis. Hope also blums in their bodies as well. Wink Wink. Alexis goes through some painful stuff during her rescue as well but I'm not going to spoil anymore.
This is full of drama, suspense, sadness, happiness & so much more. A highly recommend Michelle M Pillow story!!!

Entertaining!

This is the third book in the Space lords Series Series, set in the Qurilixen World. I like this series! Lochlann and Alexis's story is entertaining, fun, intricate, and captivating, filled with twists and turns, and romance. The storyline is darker than the first books in the series, and I liked it. Alexis is strong, enigmatic, and resilient. Lochlann is handsome, protective, and caring. The world building is amazing. The supporting characters are great. I like the ending, and I am Looking forward to listening to His Earth Maiden, the next book in the series. Michael Ferraiuolo did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it.

Space adventure fun

This boon was fun. I love the life on the ship and the fun twist this book takes. There are some darker themes in this story but it just adds depth to the emotions you feel in this book. Narrator does a great job and it’s the perfect length for a road trip! Enjoyed the clashing of the worlds and being able to see what finally happened to Margo.

Great story!

I watch a lot of sci-fi, but I don't normally read it. That being said, I loved listening to it! The characters were interesting and made you care about them. I have not read/listened to the other books in the series, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment or understanding of this book. I liked the narrator. He had different voices for the characters so it was easy to listen to.

Great for this book

I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I've watched a lot of Star Trek so this was something I thought might be in that direction, other than the Captian being a dragon shifter. Then there was the Alexis 9.7 and once she came on his ship, his whole world fell apart. And of course, he fell in love. She isn't what, or who he expects her to be and trouble comes knocking on his door for her and his crew. She's supposed to be a sex droid and turns out to be human, but how is that possible when she has all this information uploaded in her brain. My favorite part is the mention of the author, it was perfect. Will definitely have to give a listen yourself to see how it goes. I was very intrigued.

The narrator was new to me but I think he did a great job with this one. Each character had their own personality, some had an accent as well and never did he get them confused. I can't wait to hear more from him.

Ahhh!

Pillow knocked it out of the park with this one. This book took the series to the next level! Margot's and Lochlqnn's story drew me right in and I was obsessed. This one maybe my favorite so far. His Metal Maiden, like the other's in the series, gives you mystery, adventure, love, and a fight for good over evil. I love how Pillow has been able to make each of the books in the series link up but still maintain complete individual stories. Margot's back story is on point! Ferraiuolo did a wonderful job with bring the story to life. Give it a listen, you will not be disappointed!
