A bit different to the usual historical romance audiobooks, maybe as its not set solely in London. The narrator is excellent! My next book will be one narrated by him ♥️

Cynthia Wright's wonderful romantic tale comes to life under Tim Campbell's rich and exotic accent full of French promise! His accent and voice coats the listener like warm melted chocolate and the story will make you smile all the way through. Cynthia's love story of an ageing, stubborn, sexy libertine, who has a poor belief in true love and trust due to his mother's antics is pulled into opening his heart because of the beautiful, clever and wounded Mouette. It is a delight to listen to this story unfold with the characters of past books in the series lending a hand to guide Justin St. Briac to finally open his heart. I think it is my favourite Rakes & Rebels so far. A triumph for Cynthia and Tim. Do not delay and start listening to it today... magical!'

His Make-Believe Bride is a well researched, well-written story that captivated me from beginning to end. To read the book myself, which I have done, was a joy, but to have Tim Campbell narrate it brings the characters to life and makes the story even more enjoyable. His male characters voices are easily decipherable from each other, the children characters are sweet, the female characters are believable, nothing like an over the top drag queen lol, and the man even does a perfect 'dog' for goodness sake! All the emotion that the author puts into her stories is performed superbly by Tim and don't get me started on the bedroom scenes...somebody please pass me a fan! An audiobook can only be as good as it's author and it's narrator, and I believe that Tim and Cynthia are a perfect partnership.

Loved every second of it. I just couldn't stop listening. I love it when the rest of the family and friends from they previous books are included in each story. And i just love these 3 families, The Raveneaus, The Beauvisages and the St. Briacs. Tim Campbell was brilliant as always. I love his voice.
Now on to the next one Adreinne and Nathan's story, His Reckless Bargain.
