Imagine a secret kingdom hidden in the mountains of Italy. His Majesty is the law unto himself, and he rules with a firm hand. Punishments are meted out personally by the king, often in the presence of others so everyone gets to watch the humiliation as the mouthy heroine begins to understand the power dynamics in this kingdom.

This was an intriguing, fun listen. Heather Firth and Thomas Locklear do an amazing job weaving this story together. The writing and pacing are well done, and the talented narrators bring this whole kingdom to life.
