as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Max gets his angel

Riley dances at Heaven’s Ballroom. Even with what he does, he is an innocent. Max comes in tired of cheaters and willing to have a great time at HB and forget his misfortune. Riley comes to the rescue but not before his own misfortune. Max is the ultimate Alpha, great character and very patient. Riley is a hurt soul with a great heart. I loved their chemistry and the feelings they evoke when reading/listening them. The narration was good which made for a great listen.

Low Angst

This book was the perfect read. The MCs were likable and interesting. The storyline had some twists but the angst level remained low and the sizzle level was there. Some days a little drama goes a long way. If you’re having one of those days this is the book for you.

Lovely story

Heaven's Ballroom, a dance/strip club of high caliber, is owned by an omega who cares and protects his employees. The innocent angel, our MC omega, was just starting his work there when he met the alpha who was there to drown his sorrows. Unexpected encounter led to further entanglements and we see the two MCs sorting through their various pasts and troubles until of course their HEA. The story flows very well and stays interesting throughout with some angst, humor, and plenty of heat. Both MCs are likable and their story certainly entertaining! Will definitely be reading/listening the next book!

Heaven's Ballroom, a New Series

Heaven's Ballroom is a classy club where alphas go to watch sexy, sultry, angel feathered omegas dance for their entertainment. And, sometimes for a bit more personal entertainment.

As the first book in a new series, there is more world building and character development that will be an important foundation for later stories.

A fun, lightgearted book that deals with social issues in a compassionate manner. Problems are faced, issues solved, and a sweet HEA with baby in tow.

Narrator Stephan Van Doren brings his lovely voice and experience to this new venture. Five stars all around.

I really, really love this series

And yes, I've listened to the later books first, sue me! :P

But seriously, this is a great story, sweet and steamy, with no great amounts of angst, and likeable characters, whose motivations are easy to understand.

Riley and Max are both hurt, and yet, they are both willing to try and see where their connection might lead them. Of course, there are bumps on their road, but they are willing to talk about them, and isn't that wonderful?

Stephen Van Doren does a really good job with the narration.

Fantastic story

His Innocent Angel is the first book in the Heaven's Ballroom series by Aiden Bates. This is an m/m romance with an mpreg element. Max and Riley each have bad luck with relationships and so a one night stand may sound like the perfect thing for them regardless of how combustible their chemistry.... but a surprise pregnancy may force them to realize that a happily ever after is possible after all. The story has angst and drama, it has flirtation and steam, it has humor and sweetness. Overall it is a fantastic story with interesting characters.

☆Narration by Stephen Van Doren is well done. The voicework is fantastic, makes the characters come to life and fits their personalities. The recording is smooth and clear.

Heaven's turns boys into angels with wings.

And virgins into parents with amazing lovers as fate makes things perfect. This is a great start to a series that is too hot to miss. Dancers and prancers without reindeer, but enough gifts to make the antlers perk up in the crowd anyway.

Wish I had a Heaven's Ballroom when I was young

Mr. Van Doren's narration of this Audible book was very well done. He did a good job of taking Mr. Bates book and creating a really believable listening experience. Riley and Max are so good for each other it took some time and patience for them the work out the kinks, But most of that was caused by their ex's; Ethan and Kevin and let's not forget the sleazy boss, Malcolm. These three needed to have Max butt their heads together and then toss them down the road! Mr. Bates character development and the effortlessly flowing story lines will draw you in right up till the end. ("E") I kept trying to turn the page at the end hoping for more pages to continue the story longer. Please either listen to the Audible Book or get the "E" Book, you won't go wrong. Easy listen with a happily ever after.

I love Riley he is so innocent and trusting about his scumbag boyfriend. Dancing one night at work he finds a truly great guy. But can Max trust him with his heart? One night is all it takes for two people to find what they are looking for. I did get this book as an audible for a real review. It was a great listen while on a long car ride.
