Summary
Temperatures rise when there are two cooks in Jude's kitchen....
Jude's drowning when he can't save his family business single-handed. The last person he expects to throw a lifeline is Rob, a rival chef who once beat him to first place in a cooking contest.
Two chefs working together won't be easy. Not when Rob is everything Jude isn't - popular, extroverted, and a one-time hookup. What's worse is that Rob wears his heart on his sleeve while Jude's still in the closet.
Jude's dilemma doesn't end there. Rob's rescue package comes with conditions that mean sharing everything from the profits to Jude's sleeping quarters. Sleeping with the enemy will either be a disaster or signal a much brighter future, but only if Jude can meet Rob's final condition and love him in the open.
Featuring opposites who attract, rivals to lovers, and an out-for-you storyline dripping with hurt-comfort feelings, His Horizon is the first in a shared-world series of stand-alone MM romance novels from Con Riley.
Contains mature themes.

Lovely story of survival
Sweet story of recovering from long misunderstandings in family, from storms that wrecked livelihood and future. Delivered in the perfect narration by Cornell Collins.

Enjoyable
The number of coincidences started to annoy me and once you realise every little set back will be solved with happiness, the story gets too predictable.

A Cornish love story
A mystery of a missing boat and men with a growing love and all in a cornish fishing village ❤

Dull
Lasted an hour where nothing much happens, the story wilting like the lettuce. This narrator usually spices up a tale, but even his efforts are not saving this tale. Buoy needed. DISAPPOINTING

Despite the narrator, I was so bored
Even though the author threw as many angsty roadblocks as they could muster- the parents lost at sea, Jude's alternative life cooking on a luxury yacht, and a prospective love interest, the relationship between the two protagonists jude and Rob was inevitable from the moment they met again. I found that l had to suspend disbelief after the revelation that with Jude being away for a year and making countless calls home, Louise didn't tell Jude about the storm that destroyed the beach and tourist industry in the village. I also can't believe that jude never once searched social media when he was away. Any serious search for his parents would involve a powerful tool like social media. In the end I got so bored with the plodding pace of this story I abandoned ship. Shame.

Boring as hell
I very rarely abandon a book, but this one was impossible to finish. So unbelievably boring. Story going nowhere, characters have zero depth, narrative is patchy. Just an awful overall listen/read
