Hannah Hurnard created the story of Much Afraid, a young girl hoping to travel from the Valley of Humiliation to the High Places. Along the way, she meets a number of memorable characters— including the Family of Fearings, Cousin Pride, Mrs. Valiant, Mercy, and Peace. Much Afraid also meets the ever-caring Shepherd, who helps her on her journey, at the end of which she receives a new name: Grace and Glory. This long-time best-seller is an intriguing perspective on the Christian life. Christian Living Christianity Classics & Allegories Poetry Heartfelt

I appreciate this book on so many levels, I will listen to it again to glean more from it. So much wisdom in here. I appreciate the main character, much afraid. I can relate to her. I appreciate the narrators ability to bring this story to life. The concepts in this book are powerful and has helped me see the stumbling blocks that are in my way that has stopped me from moving into maturity. Enjoyable listen, worth the purchase

Such a great book that has inspired my walk with God

I read the book twice and wanted to listen to the audio book as well! The story had a very deep impact in my personal journey to the high places. Only minus, though the narrator was lovely, I didnt feel that the way she gave voice to The Shepherd was very fitting to Him... kind of strict.

Profound, sweet, heart and eye opening

I read the hardcopy many years ago and was so deeply impacted. I'd been looking for the audio version so I was so glad to get this . Beautiful book indeed. It brings to life the intanglibe but real experiences we encounter in the process of growth in the Kingdom of God, and shows practical godly responses we are to have in order to succeed God's way.

Beautifully read too
