Right up my street!
Highway to Hell was awesome! It’s nice and compact, although I’m glad there’s more in this universe because I loved it! The protagonist I really associated with. If something like that happened to me I think I’d end up in a couple of similar positions, although I doubt I’d have did what he did at the end of the book. This isn’t a take on zombies that I’ve really seen before, which makes it both more interesting and more disturbing. These zombies are nasty. Something that really strikes me about this book is how real the characters actions are. Even the more vile stuff in the story, I can believe there’s people out there that would do it all! A fantastic book, and now I have another series to check out!

ZOMBIES, SEX, DRUGS, SEX, ROCK, SEX, ZOMBIES
IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE HAD LIVE DICK
The key word there is LIVE. Right off the bat, when the Zombies were doing sexual things to their victims, I knew this would be different. Just as in real life with the dead and real forest animals, the first part of the body to be eaten are the soft parts. My hunger for something new and different in the Zombie genre, had my mind defending this author and his writing for shock value. The shocking revelations did not stop there. The writer seemed to write intelligently, it did not mirror the more amateurish writing I have endured. As the story went on, though it seems AR really did not have anything interesting to say or add. In a longer work with more of an interesting plot these shocking sexual encounters would have been more fitting, but no plot really materialized. Towards the end of the second story, when it was revealed that the heroine was wearing a thong, it confirmed the ridiculousness of this writing. Most women find having a piece of dental floss running up their crack to be a bit uncomfortable, yet here is a woman wearing a thong during the zombie apocalypse.

THESE ARE MUCH SCARIER ZOMBIES THAN NORMAL!!! LOL
If you could sum up Highway to Hell in three words, what would they be?
Freaky, Scary, Terrifying! LOL
Who was your favorite character and why?
Randy....I swear the first lines of this book, had me like WHAT????? What a lovely introduction to Randy...I was immediately horrified...and I couldn't stop giggling!
Have you listened to any of Jack Wallen, Jr.’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but I would...totally would!!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
NO!!!
Any additional comments?
I bought this to try a new zombie series, and it was recommended by Mark Tufo, and I love Tufo's books...and the whole Zombie Genre in general.... Well Armand is sicker than Mark..FOR SURE! LOL I am absolutely terrified of zombies that not only want to eat you, but violate you like a blow up doll, I mean REALLY? That is some Horrific stuff right there...plus the book is kinda funny....and the bonus story at the end was really good....I am moving on to Darlene Bobich: Zombie Killer....This is a good story though, even with the freaky zombies....I like the character of Randy....and Becca was interesting....and I like how Randy stood up for himself and got revenge!!!!

Gritty Good
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, but this may not be the book for those with a delicate sense of morals. It is gritty and graphic, but let’s face it this book was meant for Apocalypse and Post apocalyptic readers and that is not a pretty world.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Highway to Hell?
When Darlene Bobich was promoted (Unwillingly) to the Death Squad from her position of Rear Gaurd. She was told to take Paul and old sick man that would soon be dead out to be "taken care of." The unthinkable happens and makes an already uncomfortable situation worse when Johnathan (her friend) comes out of nowhere.Berry is sent to retrieve Darlene and they are cut off from the group.
What does Jack Wallen, Jr. bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Jack is the Master of voices. He always amazes me with his talent to portray a character. His timing is excellent and each voice has a distinct characteristic trait. His range is so broad it boggles the mind.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
?Hold on to your britches,it's going to be a bumpy ride."
Any additional comments?
Armand is a very devoted and talented writer. He creates worlds; you fell like you are a part of the action. It doesn't matter what genre he is writing in. Every element is done with such precise calculation and detail that world he creates seems real.

Ok Story with Terrible Narrator
Any additional comments?
The story presents a unique twist on zombie fiction that is not for the faint of heart. It creates a universe that was intriguing and terrifying. The two issues I have with this story are the character development and the narrator. It's hard to get into a story when you don't have a character to really root for, and honestly the bad narration probably had something to do with my lack of interest in the characters. The narrator was simply awful and ruins the audio version of this story. His attempts at female voices were a cross between laughable and off putting plus he tends to over emphasize certain words for no reason or uses an oddly breathy tone.. I am going to try one more book in the series BUT I won't be going for the audiobook version unless there is a change in narrators.
