A fabulous story, whether you read it or listen to it!

This third book in the Celtic Blood series, retelling the story of Lady Macbeth, is even more dramatic than the first two, and an excellent read. Other than saying we see Corbie become Lady Macbeth in this book, I'm not going into any more detail about the plot - you can get an idea from the book description and I HATE spoilers!! - but if you've read the first two books in the series you definitely won't want to miss this one... And with its cliffhanger ending, I'm certainly dying to read the next instalment asap! And if you've not started the series yet, why not give book 1 a try - it's not a stuffy Shakespeare story!
I've also now listened to the audiobook of the story, again excellently narrated by Leslie Parkin, and can honestly say it really brings it to life. If you can, I highly recommend listening to the audiobook - you won't regret it!

Grabbed my attention and held it to the end.

Wonderful read, amazing characters, I was totally engrossed. what do some things differently wished she would have stood up for herself long before this and wasn’t so naïve and blinded for so long to some things...without giving too much away. Definitely love this love story between the heroin and her druid.

Scottish, Mists of Avalon

I can't get enough of this story. Not since Marion Zimmer Bradley, with The Mists of Avalon, have I been so completely engrossed.

Doesn't work on I-pod

Have the first two book in the series they play perfectly fine, as do other books I've downloaded. This one will not play. Have downloaded it several times. only receive clicks and silence.

Shakespearean fan fiction at its finest. Definitely a good read but I really hope there is another installment to tie things up.

A very good read. However, I really hope there’s another installment to tie up the plot points and dovetail back with the Lady Macbeth of Shakespeare fame. I am waiting.....Melanie, don’t let us down!

Melanie, Lesley and Lady Macbeth Rule!

Wow, another spellbinding book in the continuing saga of Gruoch. I'm loving this series. Melanie really takes us back to the time of medieval Scotland and the descriptions and characters are thoroughly believable. Lesley's narration is outstanding. I'm floored by the number of characters that she has performed throughout this series. It's easy to distinguish one from the other. She is brilliant at making old people sound old and at the other end of the scale, she performs children's voices exceptionally well! The ending is very dramatic and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book to be released!

Loved this.

A great book and fantastic series. I don’t know if I can wait for the next audio book, but the narration is so good I’ll listen to it when it comes out even if I’ve read the book. Worth all the credits.
