This one was a struggle for me to pause and interact with the real world. I just wanted to get back and see what was going on.

I went straight into this one after listening to shattered Steel, so it took a couple of chapters to get used to the new narration, but it was still an enjoyable listen.

In this one characters become friends and friendships grow stronger. Catherine has definitely found her family.

I have listened to many hours of these characters journeys and become attached to many. I rooted for them in battle and rejoiced with them at times, but that last chapter 😭 I knew something was coming and I was always tense at parts or thinking the worst was going to happen, but I was not prepared for that. I wanted to hit pause and not listen on, because if I didn't hear it, it didn't happen.

But I had to, I had to find out the conclusion of the events that were taking place. I'll admit I had a tear in my eye. You cannot get attached to a character and not be affected when something like that happens! Ugh but more than one 😭 😭

I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. revenge can be sweet and I hope those bastards get what's coming to them!
