Summary

“Luke” Hamilton has been living as a husband and father for the past 17 years. No one but her wife, Nora, knows she is not the man she appears to be. They have raised their daughters to become honest and hard-working young women, but even with their loving foundation, Amy and Nattie are hiding their own secrets.

Just as Luke sets out on a dangerous trip to Fort Boise, a newcomer arrives on the ranch - Rika Aaldenberg, who traveled to Oregon as a mail-order bride, hiding that she’s not the woman in the letters.

When hidden truths are revealed, will their lives and their family fall apart or will love keep them together?

Another favourite of mine.

This is the sequel to 'Backwards to Oregon '. However, there is one tiny reference to a short story (the name of the short story collection eludes me at the moment), in the accompanying short story collection that is relevant to this story. That said, you don't need to read the short story to understand the reference.

I first got this book as a Kindle version

Like the first story, I was thrilled to see it in the Audible catalogue.

It's well researched, well developed, and has you wanting the happy ever after both the main characters are hoping for, if for totally different reasons to start with.

It was also lovely to have Tess included in a more tangible way.

I didn't mind the narrator, I think she actually did a better job on this book than the first one.

If I want a couple of books to lose myself in, these two are some of my go-to escape novels.

Excellent follow up!!

This book was amazing and heartfelt! Not even the era of the book could take away from some of the great lessons throughout the book. I enjoyed the characters thoroughly and it was nice to watch them unfold. Overall, great book, I wish there were more!! Highly recommended!

if u havent already read the first one wat are you even doing with your life? if you dont know if you should read the second one, well now you do. I love this series and I am so happy how everything wrapped up so nicely. I'm so sad that this journey is over I wish it could continue.

Amesome

I loved this book. I am a romance junkie at heart and enjoy it when an author builds the relationships between the characters romantic and platonic too because there is more to life then finding the woman you love. Finding solid friends who can help you get where you are going is very important too.

A happy ending... especially when it’s an emotional path filled with strong female characters are my favorites.

This was a slam dunk.

Like a copy

If I had read this book first I think I would have liked it a lot. It was not a bad book, but it was like a copy of Backwards to Oregon. The Main charachter Amy was like the main charachter Luke in the first book, in very many ways, and the differences of the two stories as a whole was too small. This story was also boringly predictable, as it was made clear from the start who would become a couple.

Excellent sequel

I loved Backward to Oregon so snatched this up when I saw it on Audible. I was not disappointed. In fact, Jae never disappoints as an author. Her books are detailed and filled with insight into the emotions of her characters. Hayden Bishop also does an excellent job narrating the book. I listen to a lot of audio books, and I'm pretty picky about narrators. This is a title you don't want to miss.

Love

maybe not as spectacular as the first book but still crazy amazing. I am sad as I don't think the story has more to give us and I would love another book in the series.
