About this listen

Contemporary romance fans hold a special place in their hearts for New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr’s Virgin River novels—set in a quiet town nestled deep in California Redwood territory. The 17th entry in the series, Hidden Summit stars Leslie Petruso and Conner Danson, two people burned by love and ready to give up on the whole proposition. But the chemistry between them is impossible to deny, and if everyone in town can see it, why can’t they?©2012 Robyn Carr (P)2012 Recorded Books, LLC Contemporary Contemporary Romance Fiction Romance Women's Fiction Heartfelt

If you have made it to book 17 of the series, then you probably know what to expect from the Virgin River books. This was neither the best nor the worst book in the series. Overall, it was enjoyable enough. There was just one thing that REALLY annoyed me and that's that the "new" name given to Danson Conner, the only witness to a relatively high profile murder case whose life has already been threatened once. I'm sure absolutely no one would connect Danson Conner to his new witness protection identity of Conner Danson. I know Robyn Carr's stories aren't meant to be particularly believable but every time (and there were MANY of them) there was a comment about not using real names in case the phone/email was compromised or whatever it felt insulting. Really most of the witness protection side of the story was handled badly.

Worst ever "new" name for witness protection
