Each character had a really tough life, at times this story is very heavy and depressing, but nonetheless one has to continue to listen to find out if things get better! Bonus no swearing or blasphemy

Took my faith in God to another level. Loved it. It’s definitely a sad novel with a happy ending.
It made me cry, it made me pray and it made me laugh. ❤️

Such a beautiful story that exposes the effect of emotional trauma in child hood but it also shows how the cycle can be broken and how love and strength can overcome so much. There is a lot of references to the bible and as a Christian I could reflect on the statements but for some this may not be the case. Finally the narration of this wonderful story was superb.
