About this listen

*** THE SECOND BOOK IN THE YOU SERIES, NOW A HIT SHOW ON NETFLIX ***

YOU was a word of mouth bestseller around the world -- and now Joe Goldberg is back!

Joe Goldberg came to Los Angeles to start over, to forget about what happened in New York. But in a darkened room in Soho House everything suddenly changed.

She is like no one he's ever met before.

She doesn't know about his past and never can.

The problem is, hidden bodies don't always stay that way.

"Darkly glittering...totally absorbing." (Erin Kelly)

Having listened to You with a fascination that both horrified and entertained I wanted to find out what happens next

I was not disappointed- jo mind and viewpoint is as warped twisted and self obsessed as ever - and his new love Love seems to have similar dark twisted secrets

Was hooked again and drawn in - and left wondering - what happens next 😀

Jo is back and as deliciously evil as before

I did not see the hype with this book, it was ok... just! It started off with opportunities in the storyline to thrive... however quite a few times I felt like asking for my credit back, but previous reviews had said to persevere. So I did! Even though it peaked in the middle, it was dire in the end. It was overwhelming, trivial and full of what felt like incomplete bits!
The ‘best parts’ award goes to the narrator!!

It’s really not all that!!

*3.5 Stars*

Well the disturbing and unhinged, charming character Joe Goldberg is back. This time he is in Los Angeles on a mission because his last girlfriend Amy has stolen something from him so he wants to make her pay.

Things take a turn when he meets a young woman called Love, she is very different to anyone he has ever met but she has a thorn in her side her twin brother

The first book was more creepy and disturbing, this one was a little more comfortable if that’s the right word to read but Joe is always thinking on his feet, will his past catch up with him?……

I would suggest the audible addition because the narrator Santino Fontana really adds to the characters voices especially Joe’s.

Loved this just different enough (quite different) to the tv show, shares a lot of the same story beats and characters but as I said different enough to make it worth a read / listen. Looking forwards to seeing if a sequel is coming soon :)

Not the TV show but close enough
