Seit seinem ersten Flohmarkt-Besuch sammelt Götz Alsmann Herrenmagazine aus den 40er und 50er Jahren. Gondel, Paprika, Neue Wiener Melange, Capriccio, Toxi, Mix, Ronke-Magazin oder Neues Magazin - diese Zeitschriften waren keine Porno-Magazine. Es waren noch nicht mal typische Schmuddelheftchen, wie sie in den 60er und 70er Jahren überall gehandelt wurden. Sie verstanden sich eher so, wie der Playboy sich ein paar Jahre später präsentierte: als Hauspostille für den erwachsenen Lebemann.
Bei diesem live im Kölner Theater am Tanzbrunnen mitgeschnittenen Herrenabend stellt Götz Alsmann die atemberaubendsten Momente früher bundesdeutscher Herrenmagazin-Kultur vor.

Eine Trouvaille nach der anderen serviert Alsmann mit spürbarem Spaß dem amüsierten Publikum; ein höchst kurzweiliger Ausflug in eine unfassbar fern erscheinende Ära, in der auch Jazzmusik noch ein Frontalangriff auf die guten Sitten darstellte.
