Summary

Andi McConnell and her limousine are back!

The occasion is the "wedding of the century" at a local estate, and Andi has a five-day, live-in gig transporting the wedding party and Hollywood guests. There's the groom with cell phone welded to his ear. The bride who suspects she'll be murdered at the ceremony. The over-the-hill, movie star stepmother with an ambitious agenda of her own, plus blackmail, betrayal, and enough hot hostility and competition to melt that life-sized sculpture of the bride and groom.

And murder.

Along with chasing down a killer, Andi is trying to figure out her relationship with God and testing the limits of her aging anatomy with a skateboard. Plus the complication of her relationship with Keegan 'Fitz" Fitzpatrick, the guy who is living proof that some men really do age like fine wine.

Like most killers, this one objects to being brought to justice. Will Andi wind up with more bullet holes in her limo - or in her?

Love this series

I love Lorena McCourtney's stories. When Andi McConnell gets the chance of a five day gig driving for a demanding Mother of the bride. she can't turn it down. This is a great listen., the plot held my attention and the honour, the fact Andi is a mature woman. I look forward to reading and listening to more by Lorena McCourtney.

A big wedding for a big mystery

I loved the first book in this series and I was striaght on to the next book. So glad I did because I loved it just as much. I was slightly disappointed that the teenage sidekick from the first book had moved on but that didn't last long because Andi soon found another troubled teen needing her help and boy did she need help. I really liked the characters, especially the older skateboarding main character who is unusual for this genre of book but oh so works and is a breath of fresh air. The story moved along quickly holding the listeners attention throughout, even the occasional discussions about God weren't preachy and fitted in nicely with the story. I liked the reason and fact that everybody was stuck in the house with a killer, it made it more interesting all held in one place. The story took a number for twists and just when you thought you knew what was going to happen, it went in a different direction. Even the murder victim wasn't who you were expecting. An enjoyable listen and a series that I hopes continues.
Andi is embracing her new job as a limousine driver and agrees to a five day live in job, being at the beck and call of any of the wedding guest at the wedding of the century. Even after meeting the demanding step-mother of the bride, can't put a dampener on things. It's only when the teenager bride turns up at her door claiming her step mother killed her father and she is next that Andi thinks saying 'yes' might have been a mistake. Surely there wouldn't be a murder at a wedding with all the extravagance planner that went into it, no to mention the rich and famous guests attending? The closer the big day gets and the more time Andi sends with the family the more Andi questions whose wedding is it and it maybe the bride is right. Then a problem with the smoke machine causes a problem and Andi finds herself investigating another murder. Can she catch the killer? Or will staying at the big house give the killer a chance to get Andi?
I liked the narrator and hope it the author plans anymore books in the series that she sticks with this narrator, as I couldn't imagine anybody else doing a better job.
