Lovecraft himself wrote the story as a spoof of Frankenstein, but I think the story can stand on its own. Herbert is THE mad scientist archetype and I love watching his scheming and untethered ambition and curiosity. I watched the 1985 movie right before listening to this, and they've together cemented this as one of my top favorite horror stories! Fantastic job from the actors.

For a foreigner's bus commute it's a good companion. Easier to follow than some of the others dramatizations.
Before starting the dramatization reading the description of the story helps a lot if you are unfamiliar with the plot.
Developers are rewarded all my stars til I feel otherwise which likely will not differ in the near future.

Yet another awesome adaptation by the Dark Adventure team - excellently executed! However, I urge listeners to check out the full, harrowing tale of the Reanimators too... a truly incredible story!
