About this listen

Romance writer Bronte Huntington lives in the beautiful village of Nettle Wood. She spends her days crafting perfect happy endings for the heroines in her books. But really, she’s waiting for her own Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet.

Her new neighbour, Ryan, seems lovely. He’s down to earth, he makes her laugh and he has a gorgeous Irish accent . . . But it seems they’re fated to just be friends.

Then Bronte meets aristocratic Sebastian Fairfax. As charming and handsome as the heroes in her novels, he’s everything she’s ever dreamed of.

But if he’s the one, why is he so hard to talk to? And could she ever get along with his rude, posh parents?

Bronte must choose her own destiny to find her perfect hero. But as she’s about to find out, the path to true love is never simple.

I normally listen to thriller, murder mysteries etc, but this came up and so I thought why not. I have to say I couldn't stop listening and was gutted when it ended. It had me laughing in places and smiling. I really enjoyed this and will be listening to more from this author.

love this

This book annoyed me. The main character did not strike me as the sort of person who would be swept of her feet by looks and money rather than a genuinely lovely man. And then of course she changes her mind. It took a long time to get to the point that was evident from the beginning.

predictable

The worst book I’ve ever read on audible! The ‘heroine’ was ridiculously stupid for someone who supposedly wrote books!

Dreadful book

Story was an easy listen. Unfortunately the further I got into it the more annoyed I was with Bronte the main character. She was unbelievably stupid about liking someone very unlikeable. I found myself wishing that actually the one I knew she would end up with would get with her friend as I felt he deserved to be with someone who appreciated him.

Annoying ‘heroine’
