About this listen

Part autobiography, part comedy, Help is a survival guide for life from Katie Hopkins.

Laugh-out-loud funny, the "biggest bitch in Britain" lays bare her life, exposing her many private and public failings and how she has survived them. With tactics for keeping going, new ways of thinking about problems that seem too big to handle and strategies for coping with unkindness, especially online, Help is here to do just that. Whether it's your college mates, job, sex-life, marriage, kids, or social media that's making you want to shove your head in a blender, Help will give you fresh eyes to see things differently.

Katie Hopkins does not hold back. Loved and loathed in equal measure, she has faced more personal dramas than the Real Housewives - all of them. Because of her uncompromising views she has faced unprecedented attacks from governments, the media, and the mob. She was deported from Australia, banned from South Africa, has a fatwa on her head from Pakistan. She survived brain surgery that nearly ended her life, she lost a High Court case that cost her the family home, and was a target of a jihadi plot to behead her. Hopkins knows how it feels to be floored. But, she just keeps getting back up, and she has prevailed. What's more, she still has a sense of humour.

Written in response to all those asking how she does it, she is on a one-woman crusade to help people feel better about themselves. When you really think you can't face your own life any more, or want to throw yourself on the floor and scream like a three year old in a supermarket, Help will pick you up, dust you off, and get you back on your feet again.

Love her, hate her, this is a must-listen for anyone who is struggling. Don't try and do it on your own, reach for Help.

A brilliant listen. Katie updates us on her life since her last book and tells us stuff she wasn’t ready to disclose before, so this really is an honest, soul-baring read. And absolutely a survival guide to navigating life in this weird country (and world).

Excellent!

I never expected to give this 5 stars but I have to be honest! I am one of those who couldn't stand Katie Hopkins and (ashamedly now!) I was one of the millions who laughed at the fake award video. But I was intrigued to see if this book revealed any other side to her that I might like. And I have to say, this changed my mind on her completely! I laughed out loud more than once, and realised I agree with her on a LOT of things. I am sorry for laughing at the fake award video now too - I never even thought about how it would feel from her side, and I think it's great to see how open she was about it and hope it opens other people's eyes too, like it did mine. (Only negative about the book for me was the large amount of references as if her target audience is America, translating words to their American equivalent etc). But it really was a hilarious book, and I'm totally shocked that I will be recommending this to others for sure! Thanks for the laughs Katie, sorry for laughing at the fake award (that's a genuine apology!), and I look forward to hearing more from you in the future... Never thought I'd say that!!

Changed my opinion on her!

I have nearly finished this audio after binging it over the space of two days. So enlightening, even the parts about childbirth and marriage which don’t resonate with me (I am a young gay man) - but I have plenty female of friends I have now recommended this to.

Leave your preconceptions of Katie at the door or the whatever opinion you have, or think you have (because that’s what you’ve been taught to think of her) …. And just give it a go.

Utterly brilliant.

I laughed and cried, which I feel is the true staple for all things brilliant.
