About this listen

He’s my new coworker with a heart of gold and looks that could kill. And me? Well, I'm so perpetually single my grandma is setting me up on dates with guys from the grocery store.

By thirty, you’re supposed to have a home, a dog, a boyfriend or at least a string of lovers in the past. Instead, I’m a twenty-eight-year-old virgin living with my parents to save money. My job managing an apartment complex is the one thing I’m proud of–and that’s not just because a complete hottie just walked in the door.

Tyler Griffen is here working on a construction project for nine months, which means we’ll be seeing a lot of each other. Which I don’t mind one bit if it means getting more face time with those tattooed, muscled arms and his heart melting smile.

When my boss lays down a no-dating-coworkers rule, I almost laugh. Tyler and I couldn’t be more opposite if we tried, but the thing is… I think he likes me. He’s always helping me with my hunk-of-junk car problems, saves me from the most awful blind date, and even appeases my grandma’s wish to attend my nephew’s birthday party.

What do you do when you’re thrust from being the funny fat friend into the main character of a steamy rom com you never expected?

And more importantly, how do you handle the heartbreak when he leaves?

The story was very good, but at times a bit too long.
Tyler and Hen are sweet and caring persons, that instantly fall I love. She think it is forbidden to date within the company but he knows it isn’t. It take some time before she gives into their love, and after there are some huge step til overcome.
All in all a very sweet book.

Nice work life romance story

decent story. narrators were pretty good. I think I still prefer to read the book rather than listen to it.

ticks all the boxes

Male reader created imagery but the female reader was too fast, a little monotone. I didn’t feel as though she brought Hen to life. I enjoyed Tyler’s chapters, would rather have heard the whole book read by the same guy

Lovely story, great writing

I really wanted to love this book.... but I just didn't! I really really enjoyed the first 2 books in this series so I was excited to hear Hen's story but it just felt underwhelming. The female narrator was very difficult to listen to - she was very monotonous and flat. Her chapters were a real slog and Hen came across a bit boring and irritating because of the narration. The plot was fine but ultimately didn't go anywhere major - I saw a lot of it coming. A sweet romance but ultimately, a difficult listen and a basic plot.

I struggled through this one.....

The female voice actress was so bad it completely distracted from the story. So monotoned with bad inflections. It made it cringe worthy. The male voice actor was much better and you could believe the character he was playing.

Awful voice actress
