About this listen

Sir Michael Caine - perhaps best known as gang leader Charlie Croker in 60s crime caper The Italian Job - tells the stories of remarkable heists and extraordinary robberies from around the world, as remembered by the masterminds, detectives, victims, journalists and witnesses that lived through them.

For more than 60 years, Caine has played thieves, criminals, gangsters and the detectives trying to catch them. But there's Hollywood and then there's real life... and that's when things get really interesting.

From the largest bank burglary in American history, to the world's most audacious book heist, Heist with Michael Caine travels to America, Australia, Stockholm, Antwerp and everywhere in-between to tell true stories behind the world's most daring heists.

All six of these episodes are fantastic. They cover a broad range of historical heists, ranging from almost perfect, to absolutely terrible - all of which are incredibly entertaining.

I really enjoyed all the episodes but have to admit that the first 5 were my favourites because Sir Michael Caine narrated them!
I found the stories and recollections fascinating, it was a nice change from my usual listening.

In-depth and fascinating nugget-sized accounts

You just can't get better than Michael Caine as a narrator, especially with his acting and film experiences in mind.
Cracking stories, love the use of additional narration from the actual criminals, highly recommended.

Inwas addicted to these. Michael Cane narrates these accounts splendidly. Thrilling stories with a good amount of background infotmation to each case and a good balanced perspective from different witness accounts. All set off with a very clever and well thought out music score to set the tone.

Thrilling and moreish
