Oh, my goodness and just, WOW! This story really does live up to its title! The main characters are wonderful, and I love them both. Athena certainly is the lover/partner to dream of and Ruby the friend you want to be there for. I was hooked from the very first chapter and the way Lise Gold deals with the grief both MCs are experiencing is so relatable and well handled. The additional characters, family and friends, are all great too and the story flowed along so perfectly that, apart from the hot and spicy scenes that certainly got the heart rate going🌶️ 🔥, it was lovely and very easy to listen to. Charlotte Claremont’s narration was excellent, she nailed Athena’s and Ruby’s voices and if she whispered in my ear as Athena my knees would certainly give way🥵. This is a brilliant story, and the audio just adds to it. I absolutely recommend it. Read it or listen to it, you won’t be disappointed. 😊
