Summary

Why does the Bible contain so many stories of hurting people? Though their situations vary, their conditions don't. They have nowhere to turn. Yet before their eyes stands a never-say-die Galilean who majors in stepping in when everyone else steps out. Lucado reminds us that the purpose of these portraits isn't to tell us what Jesus did-but rather to remind us what Jesus still does.

It was an amazing book of inspiring stories about every day people like you and me. I could have been any one of us who the Lord had chosen to write about in His living Word... Now just think about that!!!

Timeless truths

Max Lucado's clear depiction of Christ is something that has been rarely done. I have loved this book for many years. Those looking for a clear depiction of Christ that is biblically accurate but not preachy or self serving will definitely appreciate this.
