AN ARKADY RENKO NOVEL: #4

'Makes tension rise through the page like a shark's fin’ Independent

Former Inspector for the Moscow Militsiya, Arkady Renko, is summoned to Cuba to identify a liquefying corpse, dragged from the oily waters of Havana Bay. Renko finds himself in a decaying country, the final recess of Communism - a place where Russia is despised, exotic rituals take precedence and unexpected danger meets bewildering contradictions. After a harrowing experience that has left Renko on the verge of suicide, this new mystery leads him on a trail of deceit that reaches international proportions, and gives him a reason to relish his own life again.

Of course MCS is literary and thriller genius. Frank Műller is the best reader EVER. His Ross Thomas narratioHns are THE BEST. Ross Thomas is equally great thriller writer. Must hear "Out on the Rim" and all others!

Another brilliant Renko story, though the end was a bit rushed and some finishing details would hsve been welcome.

Usual good stuff

unbelievably tedious reader, only stuck it out as it was as usual a page turner.

Good story ruined by performance

Excellent addition to the series. Irritatingly no more are available until much later in the series so that’s the end for me. Publishers, please release complete runs!

Trouble in Cuba

Maybe you like a weird half whispering style, but I can't bear it. Why can't some of these readers just read without trying to act or do funny voices

In that sense I cannot judge the story at all, although I've liked others in the series (in book form)

I generally just want to hear a reading that focusses on the content

Another book spoileed by the narrator/performer
