I love this book was a very easy listen a haunting love story through generations

The ‘scottish’ accent was actually Irish! It was too distracting. It’s not often I delete a book but in the end I just couldn’t listen!

I really wish I could have stuck with this as the story was developing nicely, but the narration was horrendous. Each accent dipped in and out of different dialects or sounded like someone taking the mickey! And as for the supposed Scottish accent that sounded vaguely Northern Irish 🙄. Such a shame it completely spoilt the listening experience.

The appalling narration

I really enjoyed the story and the characters but this narrators accents were awful! I think one of the main characters was meant to be Scottish and the accent varied from Irish to old English, it was very distracting and hard to concentrate or take the character seriously as it was terrible and changing.
