Story
I've had to move out of the city and into the house I inherited here, in the idyllic fishing village of Porthcove, but only for as long as it takes to sell it. You see, I need the money, so I've started seeing some of the locals, you know, as patients, but I tell you, there's something really disturbing about charming neighbors sharing chilling secrets. And it isn't just that. It's the other things. Strange, inexplicable things. It started with odd smells, creepy sounds, and then the intruders...oh God, the intruders.

Dreadful, awful nonsense
This is a remarkably dreadful offering. If you thought book one was bad then this is ten times worse. A study in spinning out nothing to say indefinitely.
I have finally finished listening and feel I need to return to my earlier review to record yet again my astonishment and even wonder at the sheer awfulness of this work. The author is to be commended for his stamina if not for his talent.

BEST BOOK, SUPERB NARRATION, WITH SFX!
This is not my first Tony Marturano listen, but it has probably got the be the best!
For me, Haunted hit all the right notes. Great story, well-rounded characters and really creepy! All complimented nicely with an array of special effects. For me, I felt like I was in that house with Marco and Buddy the dog experiencing what they were experiencing.
The five-star ratings are not an exaggeration, this book truly deserves it.
The book does come with a spoiler alert right at the beginning which isn't in the description so I would say that I highly recommend Haunted but also recommend listening or reading Psychosis first for the complete experience.
I really hope there's another in the series!

Really good, but read Psychosis first!
Make sure you read Psychosis first.
As much as this is a standalone novel, to full appreciate eh characters and why they are where they are you need to read the other book first.
I read the audiobook edition narrated by Jonathan and Katie Rand - they did a fantastic job.
Just like the first book, this is an emotional ride, stressful and emotional in parts. I was not sure what the ending would bring - I was not disappointed.

Sound Effects are Everything!
In this novel when a door creeks open, It's a real sound! It has that creep factor. Well narrated from the male with his deep voice. So Ominous! As for the female... Not a fan. Her character made me want to slap her sassy right out of her mouth! The story was entertaining with some comedy. Lots of F-Bombs. Word choice overboard.

Couldn't put down!
This story was intriguing, fun, mysterious, had heart, and not once did I lose my thoughts to other things because I was board. I thoroughly enjoyed the narration as well. Listened to this book straight through no sleep. The only complaint I have is there was way too much cussing and using Jesus's name as a swear word way too much! It's too bad the author feels that it's not offensive to those of us who want to listen to good books without having to hear God's name as a curse word. Interesting how no other God but Jesus is ever used as a curse word.

I gave this 3 stars only because I didn't listen to more than the first few minutes--but no novel with an opening as bad as this one's ever should see the light of day. An opening chapter as bad as this deserves -3 stars.

Loved this book
This book was long but never boring. I loved the story line, the characters and the ghost happenings. I usually don't like sound effects but in this book they were done at appropriate times, never too loud and always made sense. They definitely had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up at times. What a great, spooky and fun book. It will be one I re-read.
