About this listen

For the first time, His Royal Highness Charles, the Prince of Wales, shares his views on how mankind’s most pressing modern challenges are rooted in our disharmony with nature. In the vein of Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth and Van Jones’ Green Collar Economy, Prince Charles presents the compelling case that solutions to our most dire crises—from climate change to poverty—lie in regaining a balance with the world around us.

This book is an astoundingly comprehensive view of the interconnected life, history and realistic viable future of our world beautifully narrated by HRH Prince Charles himself.
I own a copy of the actual book, but listening to the conviction and passion in Prince Charles' voice adds another layer to this already amazing book.

I knew very little about Prince Charles before, but this book painted him as someone who not only cares for the planet and people in it but also someone who is actively involved in many ventures, charities and start ups to make the world a better place than we have collectively made it.

I'm an avid reader and can't think of a book to which i can so readily relate, truly for me this is the most influential book I have ever read/heard.

Perhaps the most influential book you'll ever hear

Wonderfully written book, even though it was published more than ten years ago, it still incredibly current and relevant, and perhaps even timeless. It puts across the beautiful ideas of ways of life in harmony with nature and how important it is to try and save and protect our Earth, and ourselves as integral part ot the whole. How true it is that even if we already share some of these ideas, we need to be reminded and made aware how much work still needs to be done to bring us back closer to nature, not only in our hearts, but in our minds, in our work, in our every day life and lifestyle. His Majesty shows Himself as a great thinker and someone who cares deeply about humanity, nature, the environmental crisis we face, as someone who works restlessly towards finding and supporting solutions. It is an inspirational book, and beautifully written and read, I feel deep admiration to His Majesty for his work and I feel grateful that such a great person is now our King.

Wonderfully written

With the power to give us a kick up the backside get our values right back track down this wrong road we’ve been lead down like the sheep we allow ourselves to be.

If could only have a king
