Editor reviews

Operating in the midst of the First World War, tensions are always at a high level in Graham Ison's Hardcastle Series. Performed by the intense and sharp-voiced David Thorpe, this adventure follows the famed Detective Inspector Hardcastle as he investigates a mysterious mishap wherein a seemingly innocent household was bombed by accident. The only problem, though - one of the bodies recovered appears to have been killed before the bombing. As fans of Ison and Hardcastle have come to expect, Hardcastle's Obsession keeps pace with clever dialogue and even more clever plot twists that is bound to keep your hand far from the pause bottom.

Good Story

I suppose there has to be one book in a series that doesn’t quite hit home like the others. For me, the plot of this one was just a bit stretched but if I’d read it as a stand alone novel, I’d still be happy with it.

Not the best of the series but still good

I really enjoy this series set in WW1 London. Complex plots fascinating detail about the War both at home and at the Front. David Thorpe's narration complement it perfectly!

Another great story from Graham Ison brilliantly read by David Thorpe
