Summary

He's a Wall Street wolf. She's been hired to tame him.

From New York Times best-selling author Lauren Layne comes a wildly sexy novel of business and pleasure.

Twenty-eight and filthy rich, Matt Cannon is the youngest broker on Wall Street. He may be a "boy wonder", but he's every inch a man. Ask any woman-any night. But when Matt's latest fling makes scandalous headlines, his clients get anxious, and his bosses at Wolfe Investments level an ultimatum: Keep his assets zipped, get a "real" girlfriend, and clean up his act. Only one woman can help Matt with something this hard.

For PR genius Sabrina Cross, the best fixer in Manhattan, playing Matt's steady is going to be a challenge, even if it's just for show. They already have an explosive history, she can't stand the cocky party boy, and worse - she can't stop thinking about him. So who will dare to break her "no touching" rule first? Because when that happens, Matt and Sabrina's game of let's pretend will get so hot it could set both their reputations on fire.

So Much Better Than Book One!

This is the second book in the series and it’s ten times better than the first, imo. I wouldn’t have even given it a chance if it wasn’t included with my audible membership...but I’m so glad I did! I enjoyed the push and pull between Sabrina and Matt and watching them come to terms with their true feelings. The narration is also exceptional! Great listen...definitely recommend!

This story was perfect

Samantha Cook and Zackary Webber are the best. Matt was a millionaire playboy wall street phenom. Sabrina was a strong-willed independent fixer, kind of like Olivia Pope of Scandal. They were perfect for each other and had been frenemies with benefits for the last couple of years. Both had marriage phobia/commitment issues because of their backgrounds.
Matt got into some trouble that required a fixer and hired Sabrina because he didn't want any women that could possibly fall in love with him. Well needless to say in the end this presented a problem for everyone. It was fun and interesting to see how they got around the situation and I loved it

Good

3.5 Stars for me!

This was a good story and I liked it better than Hot Asset and have downloaded Book 3 already.

There is a bit of a love triangle but it is a minor part of the story. What did drive me a but crazy was the constant push pull plus the excessive negative head babble.

All works out and an HEA will be the result.

Amazing

Another perfect book from Lauren Layne. Cannot wait to get to the next one.
Honest, Zachary Webber could read the dictionary and I’d happily listen to it hundreds of times. It helps though that Samantha Cook is brilliant and paired together with such a lovely writer, pure perfection.
Don’t mind me. I’m just going to buy all audiobooks by Lauren Layne. I’m just gonna escape from the real word while I listen to the next book in this series, Kate and Kennedy’s love story. Wine in hand, cat by my side and eating chocolate buttons whilst I get into bed.
Read/listen to them!! Do it!!

Life builds character

No matter how hard our childhoods were, they are the things we are made of. WE choose whether it makes us strong or weak.

Okay. Cookie cutter.

I was disappointed that Sabrina got a cookie cutter frenemy fake boyfriend story. Not that those are bad and as such this one was okay. It’s just that Sabrina was such an interesting character in Ian and Lara’s story and this was too tame for her. As a fixer with so much influence she deserved a story with some twists and turns. An ARCH enemy on her own level. And I could wonder who was getting one over on who until the end. 😏

loving this series

Matt and Sabrina's enemies to lovers story was sweet, funny, and tear jerking. Pretty sure I'm in love with Zachary Webber's voice and am starting to love Samantha Cook's too. I'm probably gonna go stalk the other books they've read once I've listened to Kate and Kennedy's story. Super excited for it. :)

Clueless Playboy & NYCity fixer overcome issues

the second in this series is pretty predictable but the guy is likeable and the gal is smart & clever except with her reservations about love. The dialogue is fast, clever, and fun. Sexy tension between the 2 main characters and the supporting characters are also interesting. Good narration with some drama but mostly an enjoyable romance. Well worth the credit.
