Summary
Hansel e Gretel é o nome original da história de João e Maria. No conto, os dois irmãos estão perdidos na floresta até que encontram uma casa. Ela era feita de doces e uma bruxa vivia dentro dela. Tudo parecia ótimo até a bruxa oferecia doces demais às crianças. Em 2020, houve uma adaptação para o cinema com direção de Oz Perkins.
Os irmãos Jacob Grimm (1785) e Wilhelm Grimm (1786) nasceram em Hanau, Alemanha. Os dois eram pesquisadores e se colocaram na tarefa de viajar por diversas regiões para reunir contos populares narrados oralmente e preservar o folclore alemão. As histórias foram publicadas em 1812 e 1815 em dois tomos, com o título de ‘Contos Maravilhosos Infantis e Domésticos’. Anos depois, diversos desses contos seriam transformados em filmes por Walt Disney, como ‘Rapunzel’, ‘Cinderela’, ‘Chapeuzinho Vermelho’ e ‘Branca de Neve’.
